The huge ‘one stop shop’ will house a wide range of health and community services, including doctor’s surgeries, a new library and mental health care.

The three storey hub will be built on the site of the now demolished Suburban pub at the junction of Hyde Road, Whitwell Way and Garratt Way.

Gorton has been chosen as the location for Manchester’s first community hub because it is an area of ‘significant deprivation and poor health’, there’s a shortfall of doctors and residents have ‘poor access to community-based health and social care’.  The huge ‘one stop shop’ will house a wide range of health and community services, including doctor’s surgeries, a new library and mental health care.

Meters UK have supplied the Tomi water meters for the project.
