Renowned for its passionate staff and thoughtful service, The Red Carnation Hotel Collection is to open a hotel in Scotland for the first time, with the aim of making it the number one hotel in Edinburgh.

The company plans to respectfully renovate 100 Princes Street, in front of Edinburgh Castle, transforming it into a highly exclusive retreat on Edinburgh’s most famous street. With uninterrupted views of Edinburgh Castle, 100 Princes Street will replicate the boutique atmosphere of sister hotel 41, the most-loved hotel in London and TripAdvisor’s number one hotel in the English capital for over 10 years.

With meticulous care and attention to the listed building’s interior, the history and heritage will be embraced, using the finest local artisans and suppliers. 100 Princes Street will reopen in 2022 as Red Carnation Hotels’ 19th property worldwide, with 30 exceptional bedrooms and an Executive Lounge overlooking the Castle.

City of London Academy Southwark

The City of London Academy Southwark is part of the City of London family which includes over twenty other schools across the private and state sector as well as many guilds and organisations. The school is sponsored by the City of London Corporation, an elected body that looks after the business district around St Paul’s.

Their relationship with the City supports the staff to access the best training and support to run the academy successfully. It also provides students with the very best experiences of the working world, from shadowing judges at the Old Bailey to work placements at business giants like Ipsos MORI – and even Buckingham Palace.

The school runs a comprehensive enrichment programme including debating, Duke of Edinburgh, a nationally regarded Basketball Academy and many Performing Arts opportunities.

The Gosforth Schools’ Trust is a partnership of ten schools and one school partner from the North East sector of Newcastle upon Tyne and Newcastle City Council who have successfully worked together for many years.
